Management

The Bureau was established in 1987 and is managed by a locally elected Volunteer Management Committee who are responsible for the finances, employment of paid staff and the quality of service provided to the public.

The bureau is staffed by one full time paid Manager and a Money Adviser. The Bureau also has an outreach clinic at Dunbar Health Centre, and a Mental Health weekly clinic at Herdmanflat Hospital in Haddington.

One part time Admin Worker provides administrative support to the volunteer advice workers. The Bureau is a member of the Scottish Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAS) and works locally to serve local needs.

The first priority of the Management Committee and staff is the quality of service offered to the community.
